Root Cellar meetings may be in-person only, Zoom only,
or hybrid (in-person which is also transmitted over Zoom).
The meeting announcement should specify which option is being used.

Features genealogical presentations by well-known speakers and evening workshops. The formal presentation begins at 7 p.m.

Most meetings are currently held using Zoom also

Family Tree
Maker SIG
Informal presentations, problem-solving, hands-on demonstrations, question and answer sessions for beginners and advanced. This SIG (special interest group) will address both Macintosh and Windows versions of the software. Zoom meetings from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the 3rd & 4th Thursday of each month.

Workshop
Learn research tips.  Share your successful finds and brickwalls. The session may include a webinar, a demo of a research tool, or an informal presentation. Meets 2 to 4 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except December) at the Sylvan Community Center in Citrus Heights.

Seminar
An annual all-day Saturday event featuring lectures from a nationally known genealogical speaker, raffle, book sales and more.  This is a fee-based event with members receiving a discount.

Organizational Meetings: The previously listed meetings are made possible by the various meetings and activities of Root Cellar's directors, officers and volunteers. The Board of Directors meeting occurs at 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month and is open to all interested members. Locaton is the Sylvan Community Center. There are also a number of committees which meet at irregular times and various locations. For more information, contact any director or officer.
